My Day Friday

Happy Friday everyone! It was a beautiful day for a ballgame. The boys managed smiles for their team photo even after a loss of 10-0 this morning.

We headed to the plant souk this afternoon. The plants on both our balconies have not fared well this season although we've had a very mild winter. I got my hands dirty replanting everything once we got it all home.

After all that work, it was time for a shower and a late lunch. A simple, refreshing salad of chopped tomatoes, onion and cilantro with olive oil and lemon juice, salt and garlic powder to taste; accompanied by chopped avocado and cheddar cheese garlic bread. Delicious!

If I can put one touch of rosy sunset into the life of any man or woman, I shall feel that I have worked with God. Gilbert K. Chesterton

The end of another day as a watercolor sunset spreads across the sky. Crochet and American Idol on the agenda for this evening. Grateful for a slow-paced day and quiet moments. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy,
Sorry to hear about the baseball loss for the boys team. Glad you got to go pick out some pretty flowers and plants for your patio. It is such a small thing but a happy thing to see something pretty like fresh greenery and flowers.
Your lunch looked scrumptious! That sunset and quote were beautiful.
Thanks for sharing.

Love your lunch. It looks so pretty and refreshing!

Sorry the team didn't fair very well, but I admire the smiling faces. That's the spirit!

I can't get into American Idol this year. Nobody is superior this year. But I liked most of the 'non-winners' from past seasons!

Just checking in while the family is visiting. Good to see your hands are dirty from planting. I can't wait. Although, some of my Chamomile is coming up, so that's great!

Hugs, my friend,
Jan

Hi Tammy....So glad you got in lots of things you love. It's nice to have a slow paced day, once in awhile, too.

The sunset is gorgeous. Reminds me of the ones in Arizona.

I had tabouli for lunch with tomato soup. That's a good salad, too. Yours was simple but looked delish. Susan

Great picture, great team, you can tell by the way they look. What a lovely lunch you prepared as always. A simple, but elegant dish. You always make me want to put together the things you make ... this will be a lunch for me shortly. Thanks! Have a wonderful weekend.

The team looks happy, so that shows great sportmanship!
I love seeing the food you post. It always looks delicious! I want some avocado's now :-)
I've been planting all this week too. It's supposed to rain this weekend, but I've gotten quite a bit done already.
Thanks so much for your sweet words on my last post Tammy. I always appreciate your thoughtfulness :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

Good to know the boys were able to smile after a tough loss. At least it looks like a nice day to be outside. VERY windy here all week long. It made for hard running at Terry Fox yesterday, but we made it, and did it in good time, so we were happy, wind and all!!
The plant souk looks to be doing well in the pictures. We have flowers everywhere you look right now. We have had a few warm days, but mostly cool and nice weather for outside plants. Glad you were able to get them all repotted and set up on the porch.

Hope you enjoyed your evening. It sounds perfect!!

Love,
Renee

It's tough to put smiles on after a loss. So good to see that they could.

Lunch looks so yummy!!!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Dearest Tammy,

We too lived with two balconies in Italy and you NEED some pot plants in order to be 'happy'... Without any green in our lives it is dreary.
Sorry for the boys but that too is a life's lesson! Dealing with it is healthy, especially in today's world.
Your lunch would be absolutely 'my'fare too!
Please stop by to read my Japan travel adventure to our sister-city. Only since yesterday I know they're fine, only out of power for one week and thus no internet and not contact. It did worry me a lot as they're so close to Sendai, the hardest hit area where of course I also was... So I did wait till I found out about them in order to post anything.

Have a great Sunday!

Love,

Mariette
